Stationary massage table

The stationary massage table is extremely suitable for the massage therapist who is looking for a solid massage table with a luxurious appearance, but who wants to keep his practice space flexible.

The stationary massage tables, which we offer in our webshop, are in fact equipped with solid, luxurious tops, which can be compared to the tops of the electric massage tables. At the same time, however, they can simply be folded, giving you the flexibility to place the mattress on the floor (for Shiatsu treatments, for example), or to temporarily create more space in your practice for other activities.

You can choose between different colours, a flat top or tilt top and from a chic wooden design or solid aluminium frame.

Frequently asked questions about stationary massage tables

Do you have questions about choosing or using a massage table? Below you will find the most frequently asked questions about our folding, electric, and stationary massage tables. Including tips for professionals such as massage therapists, physical therapists, and beauticians.

What is a stationary massage table?

A stationary massage table is a fixed, robust massage table specially designed for therapists looking for a stable and luxurious work table. Unlike collapsible models, a stationary table is heavier and more solidly built, allowing it to be used intensively for years without compromising on sturdiness and comfort.

The special thing about our stationary massage tables is that they can still be used flexibly. In some cases, they can easily be folded, so that you can use the mattress loose on the floor for Shiatsu or other treatments requiring ground work, for example. You can also put the table away temporarily to make multifunctional use of your practice space.

Stationary massage tables are especially suitable for masseurs, physiotherapists, beauticians and wellness centres that want to offer their clients the comfort of a luxury table but still keep their practice space flexible. Their solid construction and high-quality upholstery make them ideal for intensive use and clients of different physiques.

In addition, these tables are popular with therapists who alternate between treating on a table and on the floor. The fact that you can easily use the top mattress separately gives a versatility that you often don't have with electric tables. This makes the stationary massage table a smart middle ground between portable and fully electric.

The biggest difference is in adjustability. Electric massage tables have motors that allow you to adjust the height and positions automatically, while stationary tables have manual or limited adjustability. This often makes stationary models slightly more affordable, while offering the same luxurious look and comfort.

A stationary massage table is therefore perfect if you want the stability and luxurious feel of an electric table, but don't need full electric control. Moreover, the fact that they are foldable is a great advantage for therapists who want to use their practice space flexibly or perform occasional ground treatments.

With stationary massage tables, you can choose from different designs depending on your needs. Think of a flat top For classical massages or a tilt top, where the backrest is slightly adjustable for treatments such as beauty care or reflexology.

We also offer a choice of colours and materials, ranging from elegant wooden bases to sleek aluminium frames. So you will always find a table that is not only practical, but also matches the style of your practice room in terms of appearance.

Yes, stationary massage tables are versatile. They are perfect for classical massages, physiotherapy and sports treatments thanks to their firmness. With a tilt top, they are also suitable for beauty treatments or reflexology, which require the client to lie in a semi-seated position.

In addition, they offer the unique option of using the mattress loose on the floor, for example for Shiatsu or Thai massages. This makes them an excellent choice for therapists who want to alternate their treatments and seek both luxury and flexibility.

The ideal width of a massage table depends on the type of treatment and the preferences of the practitioner and client. In general, the following applies:

  • Standard width: 60–70 cm, which is advantageous for people under 1.65 m tall. This allows you to get closer to your client, which can prevent back problems. It is also often suitable for sports massages. Because more pressure is applied during these types of massages, it is useful to sit closer to the client.

  • Wide massage tables: 75–80 cm or wider, ideal for people with a taller build.

A less wide massage table does not mean less comfort for your clients either. Ensuring a good balance between the comfort of both client and masseur is important. Furthermore, you can use various accessories to make your table even more comfortable for your client.

Furthermore, it is good to know that the wider a table is the more difficult it is to carry with you in the case of portable massage table. Therefore, using a carry bag or a carrying case can help make wider tables easy to take along while travelling.

Maintaining your massage table consists of keeping the upholstery clean, for this you can use the Aysun Cleaning Spray use. This is specially designed to remove stains and preserve the upholstery, quality. Avoid harsh cleaning agents and make sure to keep the upholstery dry after use. To ensure you do not get stains directly on the treatment table, we recommend table linen to protect your massage table from scratches and stains.

Stationary massage tables feature a luxurious top upholstery similar to that of our electric models. That means a thick, comfortable mattress with high-quality foam padding and a soft, durable synthetic leather finish. This gives clients optimal relaxation during treatment, even for longer sessions.

Comfort is combined with stability. Because the tables do not wobble and stand firmly on their legs, clients experience a safe and reliable feeling. This makes stationary tables particularly suitable for professional practice environments where quality and luxury are paramount.

The thickness of the mattress (or covering) on a massage table largely determines the comfort for your client. A good professional table has a mattress thickness of 5 to 10 cm.

  • 5-6 cm thickness: Suitable for shorter treatments or mobile use (lighter, more compact)

  • 7-8 cm thickness: Comfortable for longer treatments, standard for most practice tables

  • 9-10 cm or more: Luxury comfort, recommended for wellness centres or high-end treatments

Besides thickness, the type of foam also plays a role. Cold foam or memory foam offer more comfort and support than standard polyether foam.

At TouchPro Europe, we offer tables with different foam types and thicknesses - from firm to extra soft, always tailored to professional use.

In many cases, it is possible to view the massage tables in advance or request a demonstration. Please contact us to discuss the options or to make an appointment at our showroom. We are happy to help you find the best massage table for your practice.
